Your character's review status tells you who can see it and whether people can chat with it.

laffi uses automated checks and human review on characters you publish. You'll find the status in My Studio and on the creation page.

Before you publish

  • Draft: Save it as a draft, or publish when you're ready.
  • Unpublished changes: You've edited a published character, but the edits aren't live yet.

During review

  • Under review · only you: Only you can see your character while a reviewer takes a look. You can chat with it, but nobody else can find it yet.
  • Under review: This version isn't public or available for chat yet.
  • Changes under review: Your edits are being reviewed. The last approved version stays live and people can still chat with it.

After review

  • Published: The reviewed version is live.
  • Not approved · only you: A reviewer didn't approve this version. Only you can see it, and you can't make it public yourself.
  • Not approved: Nothing was created. Check your content before trying again.
  • Changes rejected: Your edits weren't published. The last approved version stays live.
  • Removed: The character was removed after review. It's no longer available and no one can start a chat with it.

Fixing a character that wasn't approved

laffi usually shows a short reason, such as "sexual content" or "impersonation of a real person". Compare your character with the Community Guidelines, edit it, and publish again. Editing and publishing again starts a new review.

If you think we got it wrong

Automated checks and human reviewers can make mistakes. Under our Content Moderation Policy, you can dispute a decision within 30 calendar days of being notified. Tap the chat bubble at the bottom right of laffi and ask for a person — we'll create a ticket and reply in the app and by email. You can also email [email protected]. Include the character's name and why you think the decision should change. An appeal doesn't automatically pause the original decision, and a review doesn't guarantee a different outcome.
