What are Crystals?
Crystals are laffi's in-app credits. You spend them on certain AI features, such as getting a reply from a character.

What you use Crystals for
Some AI features in laffi cost Crystals, and the app shows the cost. In a chat, for example, you'll see how many Crystals each reply costs. If your balance is too low, you'll see "Not enough Crystals for this reply."
How you get Crystals
- Rewards: where available, starter missions, daily missions, invitations and milestones can pay Crystals. Look under Earn Crystals.
- Creator rewards: creators may earn rewards, which are paid as Crystals.
- Purchases: if buying Crystals is available to you, the checkout screen shows the price, the number of Crystals and the terms before you pay.
The amount and conditions of each reward are shown in the app.
Do Crystals expire?
It depends on where they came from:
- Daily rewards expire after 7 days.
- Starter and newcomer gifts expire after 14 days.
- Invitation and milestone rewards don't expire.
- Purchased Crystals don't expire just because time passes.
Crystals with the nearest expiry are always used first. Expired Crystals that you didn't buy can't be restored or exchanged for cash, unless the law where you live says otherwise. See "Crystal expiry and spending order" for details.
Checking your balance
Tap your Crystal balance in the top bar, or open Invite & Earn from the account menu, to see your balance, any Crystals that are expiring soon, and Crystal activity, which lists every change to your balance with a transaction ID.
What Crystals are not
Crystals aren't money. You can't cash them out or withdraw them, and you can't sell, transfer, trade or gift them to other users. If you delete your account, any Crystals you have left can no longer be used.
Something looks wrong?
Maybe you were charged and no Crystals arrived, Crystals were taken for a feature that didn't work, or a record looks wrong. Tap the chat bubble at the bottom right of laffi and ask for a person — we'll create a ticket and reply in the app and by email. You can also email [email protected]. It helps to have the transaction ID from your Crystal activity ready.
