Chat privacy and how your data is used

Other users never see your private chats. Our Privacy Policy says laffi may use interactions and feedback to improve its AI and safety systems.

Who can see your private chats

Private chats, private characters and private memory aren't public by default. If you make something public, share, export, screenshot or send it to someone, it's shared the way you choose, and we can't control copies other people keep.

To run laffi, private chats and their context may be processed only as needed to:

• generate your character's replies
• create, find and update conversation memory
• keep content and accounts safe and prevent abuse
• handle support requests, technical issues, reports, appeals or safety incidents
• meet legal obligations

laffi's systems, the service providers we need, or authorized staff may do this processing. Access is limited: staff and providers see only what their safety, support, compliance or legal work requires.

Is my data used to improve laffi's AI?

It may be. The Privacy Policy says laffi may use interactions, feedback and related technical information from the service to develop, test, evaluate and improve its AI models, recommendations, memory and safety systems. This can include data analysis, annotation, model evaluation, fine-tuning or training. Where reasonably practical, we use steps such as sampling, collecting only what's needed, access restrictions, aggregation or de-identification.

When processing goes beyond what's needed to run the service, we'll explain why. Where the law requires it, we'll also offer consent, opt-out or other choices. Withdrawing consent or opting out generally affects only future processing.

What not to share in chats

Don't put passwords, payment details, ID documents, your precise location, other people's secrets or anything else you don't want processed into a chat.

How long data is kept

We keep personal information only as long as the Privacy Policy's purposes need it, then delete or de-identify it. Some records may be kept longer when needed for legal obligations, transaction records, fraud prevention, security investigations or disputes. Backup copies are cleared through normal rotation.

Deleting your account deletes all your chats, story memories and conversation history. Records we're required to keep, such as purchase records and safety reports, are kept without your profile details. Removing a character from your recents does not delete your chat or messages.
